Summer 2021 Newsletter

Summer 2021 Newsletter

We are hoping and preparing for an amazing Summer of Fun.  We have yet to see guidelines from the State of Connecticut but we have decided to press forward given the direction in which Connecticut is moving.  Below is an outline of what we anticipate membership and activities to look like this Summer.

We have added a new Pool Only membership category in response to feedback from Members.

We will only be offering Summer Memberships! (Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend)

Pool Only Memberships include use of the pool and play areas only.

(No Tennis/Fitness)

Complete Memberships include use of the entire facility, plus 5 guest passes.

($75 value) The tennis portion being available beginning May 1st, 2021.

See attached membership form for pricing details.  The membership form must be completed for payment plans. Only paid-in-full memberships can be done on-line from

Edgewood Membership 2021 Form

Payments/Payment Plans:

Payment for all items and services (guests, lessons, food, etc.) are due at the time of purchase.

Payment plans for membership can be arranged with the final payment due no later than August 15, 2021.  There is a $10 per month fee for each month and a credit/debit card must be on file.

Fitness and Party Room Update:

We will be relocating the cardio equipment as well as some of the weights to the empty room at the end of the hall.  The current fitness space will be used for camp, events, parties and available for rent.  More information will be made available shortly.

Food/Liquor Policy:

We understand the advantages of bringing food from home.  Unfortunately, it resulted in challenges on our end.  If you want to bring food or have it delivered to Edgewood, a seasonal picnic pass must be purchased for $50.  Badges will be issued and can be attached to a cooler, bag, etc.

Edgewood has a liquor license and necessary insurance as a result.  This precludes the bringing of alcohol onto the premise.  We will work hard to keep our prices reasonable.  If someone does bring alcoholic beverages from the outside, they will be asked to return it to their car, with no exceptions. Thank you for your compliance and understanding.

 Summer Fun:

Waterslide – Family Fun Nights – Dive-In Movies – Taco Tuesday (and the margaritas) – Splash Night and a few surprises!

For Kids:

Swim Team – Improve your strokes and have fun

Swim Lessons – Private lessons available to all ages and ability

Tennis Lessons – Learn a sport to play for life – Red, Orange, Green and Yellow

Tennis Team – All levels welcome to gain some fun match experience against other clubs

Day Camp:

We are waiting for more information from the State in regard to camp. We will be having camp, but we don’t know what it will look like at this point.    Kate Cunningham will be back with action-packed weeks that include fitness, science, super heroes and more.  We will send information as soon as we get it.

This is the hottest sport in the country right now, with courts popping up everywhere.  We are also going to try a challenge ladder for the first time.  Check your email for weekly events.

Adult Tennis:

Point Play – Cardio Tennis – Men’s Drill – 5 USTA Teams – Friday Night Mixed Events

Member/Guest Days – If you are interested in assisting with any of these events let us know.

We are excited to have as “normal” of a Summer as we can.  The new pool heaters we installed last year did an amazing job keeping the pool at a more consistently temperature and we have fun extras in the works.  Please feel free to call 203-528-0231 or email with any questions.  We promise to keep you updated as we received information from our state and local agencies.
